Getting Started
Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, uncertain, or even overwhelming at times. Our goal is to make the process feel approachable, supportive, and clear from the beginning.
Step 1: Reach Out
Schedule a free consultation or contact us with any questions. There’s no pressure, just an opportunity to explore whether our practice feels like a good fit for you.
Step 2: Find the Right Fit
During the free phone consultation, we’ll briefly talk about what’s bringing you in, answer questions, and discuss what you’re looking for in therapy. Finding a therapist you feel comfortable with matters.
Step 3: Begin Therapy
Therapy sessions are collaborative, supportive, and focused on helping you build greater understanding, flexibility, and practical tools for everyday life. Our approach balances compassion, honesty, and meaningful action.
Step 4: Apply it in Real Life
Therapy is one hour a week (or less) but life happens in the other 167 hours each week. Our goal is to help clients build skills and insight they can carry into real-world situations outside the therapy room.

Therapy doesn’t require you to be in crisis or have everything figured out before reaching out. Many people begin therapy because they feel stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, anxious, emotionally exhausted, or simply ready for something to change. Therapy can also be a space for growth, self-understanding, and building a more intentional and meaningful life.
-
Not at all. Many people begin therapy feeling uncertain about where to start or how to put their experiences into words. Therapy can help create space to better understand what’s going on internally, identify patterns, and explore what feels most important moving forward.
-
Absolutely. Finding the right therapeutic fit matters, and it’s important that you feel comfortable, understood, and supported in the therapy process. If it feels like another therapist within or outside of our practice may be a better fit for your needs or preferences, we’re happy to help guide that conversation openly and without pressure.
You Don’t Need to Have Everything Figured Out
Many people begin therapy feeling uncertain, nervous, overwhelmed, or unsure where to start. You don’t need to have the “right words” or a perfectly clear goal before reaching out. Our hope is to create a space where you can show up as you are and begin moving toward meaningful change at your own pace.
